We call them the bad guys. If you can argue, you must be one of them.

The Empire is headed up by Emperor Palpatine, a Sith lord who rose to power through the betrayal of the people of Naboo, and the conversion of Anakin Skywalker to the Dark Side of the Force. The Emperor himself is rarely seen, but he is an ever present threat, especially to Luke and Leia.

The Grand Moff Tarkin is a constant threat to the Falcon Crew. Though he has no connection to the Force or anything Sith, he presents a real danger as third in command of the Empire. Tarkin commands the Death Star, obeying the Emperor's commands only. He has single-handily been responsible for the destruction of twenty Rebel teams, similar to the Falcon Crew, including the Alastria Crew. Tarkin's one weakness is beautiful women, who he often ends up pursuing, instead of his duties.

Gerty is the most advanced droid every created in the history of the Jeda Quadrant. Made to appear perfectly human, is capable of a great deal of damage. She's programmed not only with fighting skills unmatched by most humans, but also with a wide range of emotions, the majority of which are derived from Sith ideology. She commands covert operations of the Empire and has been known to work her way into Rebel affairs.

Darth Vader is the Emperor's right hand man. A Sith lord by nature, Vader was once Anakin Skywalker, the father of Luke and Leia, the husband of Madeline, the student of Obi-Won Kenobi. Lord Vader is a powerful threat to the Falcon Crew, as he continues to try to turn Luke to the Dark Side. Vader has a strong distaste for Solo, Calrissian, and Wizera and often uses Luke's loyalty to his friends as a weakness against him. Vader's quest for Luke's loyalty is in reality, a series of close brushes, but no real success. Nevertheless, Vader continues to torment Luke and Leia, hoping that he won't have to kill his own children.

Dengar is a bounty hunter working for the Grand Moff Tarkin. He was an assasian for Jabba the Hutt, but soon found that his talents lay more with invention than destruction. Now Dengar works, coming up with new weapons and gadgets for Imperial use. Dengar is completely mute, but the cause of this is undetermined. Some people think he's part of a strange religious cult, but most people believe that with the Grand Moff Tarkin around, he just can't get a word in edge-wise.

Alec, the Empire's second attempt at artificial intelligence following Gerty, proved to be a dismal failure. The Falcon crew happened to be onboard a Stardestroyer during the final phases of Alec's construction and they sabotaged his inner workings. Alec is incredibly strong, however he has yet to master the basic motor functions and his neural net provides limited intelligence and brain capacity. He was constructed by Lord Vader himself, in Luke's image, and is ever loyal to Vader alone.
